well. think there's so many worries swirling around in my head that i didn't sleep much last night
it was a sort of half-sleep, an endless tossing-turning, fling-covers-off-and-on fiasco
that culminated in a weird short dream that made utter nonsense. sigh.
i'm so tired. times' are when i bend down under my desk, as if looking for something but truth is i'm stealing a quick nap.
naughty girl am i. haha. no wait. naughtiness is a result of not knowing what you're doing is wrong. so i'm bad. yup. not naughty.
see? i'm spouting rubbish. maketh no sense, i.
one of my worries is SMU versus NUS. yeah. the trouble is, the deadline for acceptance of SMU will probably be up even before NUS replies
which IRKS me no end. Shouldn't local universities be competitive about the release of acceptance results, without making the poor people (us) agonize over whether or not to accept the place in the university, only to find out that the other preferred uni has accepted you?
Sigh. Not that NUS is the preferred uni of course. I'm torn between the two. A choice between indulgence in subjects I like in a rather old place only two bus stops away from home (NUS duh) and subjects which will guarantee a better career yet in a more comfortable, cosy place far from home (SMU).
Hrm. Well I'll try me best not to worry yeah. Worrying means I don't trust God enough to be able to cast my cares unto Him.
"Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own." - Matthew 6:34

You are -
Trinity!
Lovely, caring and strong, you understand those around you and do what is necessary for other in this world.
Which Matrix Reloaded persona are you?
this quiz was made by beth
just to reinforce what i said earlier. yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaahh.

i've finally managed to catch the matrix reloaded. and then i can see how so many want to watch it a second time.
the first time, you're just dazzled by the action. the second, it's because you were STILL dazzled by the action by the time the lengthy dialogue sessions rolled around, that you couldn't grasp the thought behind the movie, the philosophy created by the Wachowskis. (by the way the music played during the credits had this 'wachowski' riff to it... or was i the only one who noticed?)
then we begin to think if this sort of thought-provoking movie can actually be fully comprehended by the masses.
good thing they have the flashy moves and everything else in an action movie that 'duh' couch potatoes like
else they'd be playing to a theatre empty save for nerds like moi (yeah i've been called that several times and i guess i'll accept that title) and lucoos who's actually taken the pains to memorise the script (thus tagging me with an architect quote on the right) and to dissect the theory of causality. whoooomph.
well. another weekend's flashed by, and before ya know it, june'll be around. it's just another draggy monday is all.
oh yeah. forgot to add this in. i got accepted by SMU for Business Management! ",)
now i'm just waiting for NUS to hurry hurry tell me yes or no so i can start agonizing. I applied for NUS Arts.
hey what do the public say? NUS or SMU?
thought for the day: i wrote this because i knew you'd stop by to read it. you didn't have much of a choice at all.

Vi'lage....a Marche wannabe.
maybe i should be a food critic. and restaurant rackee-er, however you spell that.
there's this new place at China Square Central, called Vi'lage, (vEe-LAH-JAy), that's an absolute dead ringer for Marche
they even had the cows, (ok so the staff insist they're bulls actually) which were admittedly more festively decorated
with tomatoes/croissants/cheeses on their multi-coloured hides. poor cows. i mean, bulls.
only that it's eerily quiet (at dinner time yesterday, granted it just opened) and the staff are unbearably free so their eyes bore into you as you stroll around, deciding what to eat. Everything's almost the same.... only that this place has oven-baked seafood rice. Food changes from day to day, but most of the Marche staple (eg: rosti, teppanyaki, crepe with Movenpick icecream....) is the same and priced the same.
In spite of all this, the cashier insisted that the restaurant is NOT under the group that manages Marche. Hmmm.
A case of plagiarism? Or just a 'new' idea? You decide.
Go there if you want Marche without the noisy crowd, plus the over-friendly staff.
And remember, it's not a cow, it's a bull!
