i'm currently slacking alone in AS3... the weather's swelteringly hot.

finally managed to get my manually-registered tutorial for english lit... yaaayyY
so this means i can still keep my thursday free. wonderful.
my oasis in the desert thursday shall be.

meanwhile. i'm getting really bothered by the piano thing... almost to the point of helpless breathlessness
i keep envisioning myself, cold, sweaty-palmed at the piano... completely blanking out
while the impatient examiner taps his heels.

i don't like this at all.
well. at least i managed to get my tutorial.

am going for the jazz audition completely unprepared without any score or song.
i'll just whack it, so they say, and if i get in or not i'm okay with it.

thanks those who remembered, those who forgot, it's okay.
i'm used to having lonely birthdays.

but in case you're thinking i'm wallowing in self-pity, i'm NOT
i spent me birthday getting pissed at computer guys who'd fair lost their heads (think it was the heat)
but i got my annual birthday call from jov plus an Audrey Hepburn poster this time, much thanks.
oh, and Jasper Fforde's newest book from Jiating Zandra Xiuying and Mayfern...
AND the dinner part was great... went to Raffles The Plaza Market Cafe with my family
ooh la la Peranakan buffet!! haha plus some poor unfortunate waiter had to sing a birthday song for me
so yeah. i'm pretty fortunate, and grateful. ",)

been looking for a NUS CCA... and think i'm going to try for NUS JazzBand
sigh don't know if i'll be able to get in but hey, everything's worth a shot.
click on the link, it's super-cool and the practice room looks utterly cosy.
you can see why it appeals to me then. quick naps anyone?

philosophy class yesterday was thought-provoking (hahaa duuh), more of a Greek history lesson though
but highly intriguing. at least now i know more of Plato and Socrates than the average person.
and i sorely miss jc life... the food was good and at least the person sitting next to you has a lesser chance of smelling like ciggy smoke. so be thankful all you out there.

anyway i have a piano mock exam tomorrow. *heaves big sigh*
back to the blasted ivories.

the second day of school is past.

pretty fun so far... the walking and climbing of endless stairs i could do without though.
oh, and the crush of sweaty bodies in the oh-so-small arts forum Co-Op.
meanwhile I thank God for the friends i meet in lects that i get to sit next to and go for lunch afterward
imagine going in thinking you're going to be sitting alone
then you meet an old friend and she deigns to sit with you... haha

met karen esther sabby today for dinner at Out-of-the-Pan
take care karenkaren and don't forget me (espesh when you're shopping muahaha)
be alert at all times, watch over your drinks and don't let weirdo (though good-looking) ang mohs lure you anywhere

uni life. s'weird, s'wonderful.
